The Tipperary Business Ambassador Programme is an exciting marketing initiative supported by Shannon Development, the IDA, LIT Tipperary, Thurles Chamber, Thurles Town Council, North Tipperary County Council, North Tipperary County Enterprise Board and Tipperary Leader.
What is the Tipperary Business Ambassador Programme?
The objective of the Programme is to encourage people with Tipperary connections to assist in the ongoing efforts to promote the county as an attractive investment location.
Why has the Business Ambassador Programme been established?
Tipperary is a thriving commercial centre located in a key strategic position in Ireland. It is the ideal location for new business development, and offers prospective developers opportunities for investment not available elsewhere.
To exploit this potential it is necessary to attract more businesses to locate in the county. This is why the Business Ambassador Programme is so important, as it encourages the existing development agencies and the private sector to work closely together to promote the county as an investment location.
How does the Business Ambassador Programme actually work?
Tipperary business people are asked to volunteer themselves as Business Ambassadors for the county. If they do, they can opt to support the programme in whatever way best suits individual circumstances.

- With promotion - spreading the message at conferences, business network events and seminars
- With introductions - opening doors to people from Tipperary whether at home or abroad
- With identifying graduates interested in returning to live and work in Tipperary
