Since opening its doors to students in 1999, Tipperary Institute has experienced remarkable growth and has quickly established itself as a modern, vibrant centre of learning. TI continues to attract students from all over Ireland as well as providing easy access to third level education for students from Co. Tipperary and the surrounding region. All undergraduate programmes are offered to Honours Degree level in the areas of Business, Creative Multimedia, Software Development, Sustainable Rural Development and IT Support. In addition, new Honours Degrees were launched in September 2008 in a wide range of disciplines from Accounting & Finance, Business, Computing, Games Design and Development. The rapidly evolving social and environmental sectors are also well provided for with new Honours Degrees in Environmental and Natural Resource Management and Social and Community Studies. The launch of the new programmes has generated considerable interest from students all over Ireland, resulting in a 68% increase in first preferences for Tipperary Institute in 2008.
