As Thurles Railway Station is on the Inter-City line, there is an excellent train service with hourly trains to Dublin and excellent services to Cork, Limerick and Killarney. Express buses, operated by Bus Éireann, also call to the railway station. Private bus companies also operate services linking the town with Clonmel, Nenagh, and Roscrea.
